The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 may not have met the expectations of those who had purchased the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Over the first few days after launch, a number of errors and bugs were reported on social media, showing a different experience than that the game’s promotional materials suggested.

The controversy caused CD Projekt Red, the company responsible for the game, to manifest itself with an official statement. In the publication, he apologized for not showing performance on the consoles of this generation, which would not allow “to make a more informed decision about the purchase”. In addition to promising updates, he suggested that dissatisfied consumers ask for a refund of the game.

The refund for the digital version for PS4 and Xbox One is made, respectively, on the support pages of Sony and Microsoft. For PlayStation, it is necessary to enter a chat with a platform attendant, while on Xbox the path is more simplified. In both options, there is a period of up to 14 days after purchase to request. No PlayStation 4
Step 1: in your browser, click here to access the PlayStation support page. Then click on “PS Store and Refunds”;
Step 2: then click on “PlayStation Store refunds and pre-sales”;
Step 3: in the open tab, go down and click on “Speak by chat right now”. The chat is only available between 12h and 22h, in Brasília time;
Step 4: fill out the form to receive assistance. Check the “Help with a payment or charge” option in the “What is your reason for contacting us?” After requesting a chat, wait for the service and request a refund by chat.
No Xbox One
Step 1: In the browser, click here to access the Xbox support refund page. Then click on “Enter” to check for possible requests;
Step 2: sign in with the Microsoft account where the game was purchased;
Step 3: Check if Cyberpunk 2077 is on the list and click on “Request a refund”. Then, follow Microsoft’s instructions, stating the reason for the request;
Step 4: After the process is complete, the page will display that the request has been approved. The refund is made according to the payment method used.
To request a refund for a physical copy of the game, you must contact the store where the purchase was made directly. In the statement by CD Projekt Red, the company provides the e-mail [email protected] for problems with the physical version, receiving messages until December 21st. However, there is no confirmation as to whether the address serves Brazilian consumers.
